2021 Sweepstakes Rules
Sweepstakes open to U.S. and Canadian Residents Only

Winner Selection:
Sweepstakes is open to U.S. and Canadian Residents 18 years of age and older only.
Only one entry per person is allowed.
Winners will be chosen randomly from all complete entries received.
Top Prize:
Top Prize will be awarded as a discount code from Bending Branches to be used for a one time, on-line purchase toward any paddles or items offered in their current line.
Top Prize Restrictions:
- Works exclusively on BendingBranches.com
- $150.00 (US) off order
- Minimum purchase of up to $150.00
- Limit of 1 use
- Active from award until Dec 31, 2021
- Winner is responsible for all costs over $150.00 (US)
- One time purchase. If total cost of purchase, taxes, and shipping does not exceed $150.00 (US), remaining balance will be forfeited.
Additional Prizes - Prize List
Additional winners will be chosen at random from all qualifying entries received and prizes awarded will mailed to the winners.
Contest Dates:
The sweepstakes will begin March 2021 and all mailed in entries for the contest must be postmarked no later than May 15, 2021 and must be received no later than May 24, 2021.
Emailed entries must be received no later than May 15, 2021.
Tentative Date of announcement of winners is May 31. 2021.

General Rules for all SoloCanoes.com Contests and Sweepstakes (the fine print):
The following are the official rules for all contests and sweepstakes on SoloCanoes.com and any related web sites.
Specific rules when posted above apply for each separate contest or sweepstakes and overide any rules stated below.
The terms "contest" and "sweepstakes" below are interchangable and rules apply to either unless specifically stated below that they are not.
NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY. PURCHASES FROM ANY WEB SITES OR OFFERS LINKED ON SOLOCANOES.COM WILL NOT IMPROVE CHANCES OF WINNING.
Contests and sweepstakes are open to U.S. and Canadian residents only. Entries from companies or organazations are prohibited.
All winners must be 18 years of age or older, unless otherwise stated and/or posted.
1. Entering Contests and Choosing and Contacting Winners
Winners of random drawing contests will be chosen from all entries received. The odds of winning any prize depends on the number of eligible entries received. Method of selecting random winners may vary from contest to contest. See current contest or sweepstakes description for details.
Entrants should mail entries to the address given above. Mailed entries must include the official entry form completely filled out agreeing to the terms and rules of the contest or that are posted on this web site along with a clear photo (if required) for entry into any contest category. Your name and a valid email or postal address must be written on the back of any photo submitted along with any other specific entry information requested in the contest announcement.
Entrants may also email entries using the correct contest entry email address given above with the subject line "SoloCanoes.com Contest Entry" unless stated differently on the entry page along with any other specific email entry information or instructions requested on the contest entry page or form.
SoloCanoes.com, Steve Johnson, and any prize providers are not responsible for and will not consider incomplete or incorrect entries either by mail or emailed or any mailed or emailed entries not received by the contest deadlines. Emailed entries must contain all required information including an attached photo (if required) and be received no later than date stated in contest information.
Winners of all prizes will be notified by email sent to the senders or entrants email given when entering the contest. Winners will be given seven days to respond and confirm their street address and phone number. Winners that do not respond within seven days will be disqualified and prize will not be awarded. Contest prizes will be shipped to street addresses only. SoloCanoes.com and Steve Johnson can not guarantee any shipments and will not be responsible for any damage or loss of shipment by any carrier.
Canadian winners may be asked to supply reliable shipping options to their local address. SoloCanoes.com, Steve Johnson, and any prize providers can not guarantee any shipments to Canada and will not be responsible for any damage or loss of shipment.
Sorry, only one entry per person per contest category is allowed unless multiple entries are specifically allowed and stated in the contest posting above. Unless otherwise specified in an individual contest post, no person may enter any contest or sweepstakes more than once by using multiple email addresses or postal addresses. Those that do may be disqualified from the current and any future contests or sweepstakes.
Claiming of prizes requires an email reply from the winning sender email address within 7 days of notification being sent to the email used to enter. email must state and confirm all contact information including full name, address, email address, and street address. Failure to respond or give incomplete or incorrect information shall mean that the winner forfeits the prize. I am not required to award any prizes forfeited by the chosen winner(s).
2. Submission of photo, text or other content for contests.
If a photo is required and submitting photo by email, photo must be attached to entry email. Email entries that require a photo with no photo attached or entries with photos sent in separate emails may be disqualified.
Entries selected for display and to win "best of" contests or any other contests requiring photo, text or other content from the entrants will be judged and selected entirely at the discretion of Steve Johnson of SoloCanoes.com unless otherwise stated in the contest description.
By submitting any photo or additional information you hereby grant Steve Johnson and SoloCanoes.com, and its affiliates, subsidiaries, licensees and assigns, an irrevocable, perpetual and royalty-free right to use, reproduce, edit, display, transmit, prepare derivative works of, modify, publish and otherwise make use of the submitted photos or other information in any and all media, whether now known or hereinafter created, throughout the world and for any purpose. In addition to other things, the rights granted to Steve Johnson and SoloCanoes.com includes but is not limited to the right to resize, crop, censor, compress, edit, feature, caption, affix logos to, and to otherwise alter or make use of the submitted photo;
By submitting any photo or information to Steve Johnson and SoloCanoes.com, you hereby represent and warrant that the submitted photo or information does not and shall not infringe on any copyright, any rights of privacy or publicity of any person, or any other right of any third party, and you have the right to grant any and all rights and licenses granted to Steve Johnson and SoloCanoes.com herein, including but not limited to all necessary rights under copyright, free and clear of any claims or encumbrances;
You acknowledge and agree that Steve Johnson and SoloCanoes.com shall have no obligation to post, display or otherwise make publicly available any photo or information submitted by you, and may, in its sole and unfettered discretion, remove, edit, modify or delete any photo or information that you submit to Steve Johnson and SoloCanoes.com;
You understand and intend that any photo or information submitted by you to Steve Johnson and SoloCanoes.com may be available for viewing, rating, review and comment on by the public, and understand that comments or ratings with which you disagree or are unhappy about may be published or otherwise become associated with any photo or information you submit to Steve Johnson and SoloCanoes.com. By submitting any photo or information to Steve Johnson and SoloCanoes.com, you hereby waive any privacy expectations that you may have with respect to any such photo or information submitted by you to Steve Johnson and SoloCanoes.com.
You hereby agree to hold Steve Johnson and SoloCanoes.com its affiliates, subsidiaries, licensees sponsors and assigns harmless from and against, and hereby waive any right to pursue any claims of any nature arising in connection with the inclusion in, publication or displayed on the SoloCanoes.com web site, or any other use authorized under these terms, of any photo or information submitted to Steve Johnson and SoloCanoes.com by you;
Photos, items, or information submitted by you to the contest or SoloCanoes.com shall be the property of Steve Johnson and SoloCanoes.com. Steve Johnson and SoloCanoes.com shall have no obligation to preserve, return or otherwise make available to you or others any photos, items, or information so submitted.
3. Awarding Prizes
Winners are solely responsible for any and all taxes and/or fees that may be incurred. All winners at Steve Johnson's or SoloCanoes.com's request may be required to verify proper and legal identification
within 30 days of notification of winning the cash prize. Winner may forfeit any and all cash or other any winnings if verification cannot or has not been made within 30 days.
If cash winnings, upon proper verification any cash winnings will be awarded by check and mailed to winner's mailing address within seven (7) business days after winner submits all properly filled out government documents required.
Each prize winner must supply SoloCanoes.com with his/her legal name, mailing address, and telephone numbers. Additional identification or information may be required by request.
Winners may not request substitutions of prize winnings. All winners are solely responsible for any and all taxes and/or import duties, fees, and all such additional costs that may be incurred.
Neither Steve Johnson, SoloCanoes.com, prize suppliers, contest or web site sponsors, nor employees of SoloCanoes.com may be held liable for any warranty, costs, damage, injury, or any other claims incurred as a result of usage of any prize once possession has been taken of the product by the winner, his/her family, or associates. Steve Johnson and SoloCanoes.com are not liable for any loss arising out of or in connection with or resulting from any contest or sweepstakes run or promoted by Steve Johnson or SoloCanoes.com.
All prizes are new unless otherwise stated in the contest or sweepstakes description. If the specified prize becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, Steve Johnson and SoloCanoes.com may substitute a prize of like or equal value or a cash award.
Winners names will be announced and posted along with general locations (town/city/state/province only, no street addresses) on SoloCanoes.com and it's social Media sites.
Employees and families of Steve Johnson and SoloCanoes.com, or manufacturers and/or suppliers employees of any prizes are prohibited from entering any contest or winning any prizes awarded by Steve Johnson and SoloCanoes.com.
