Built for one person (and gear) Solo Canoes are generally narrower than a traditional canoe. This allows a single paddler to sit more toward
the center and use a single or a longer double blade paddle (some use both depending on conditions).
A Pack Boat typically has a open canoe body but with a kayak-style seat or no seat (just a pad) and is designed to be powered with a double-blade (kayak-style) paddle.
The following is a list with links directly to North American canoe manufacturer's web sites in the U.S. and Canada that offer at least one model solo canoe or pack boat.
See their web site for models and specifications and a list of dealers and how to order.
You can also check the list of Outfitters in your area.
